Basic support for those tasks should not require another subscription or the surrender of sensitive career history.
CareerGuru starts with focused tools that solve one job well. The resume matcher compares language and explains its limits. The STAR builder creates structure without writing fictional experience. The salary converter exposes its assumptions. The job tracker keeps entries on the user’s device. The document workspace handles common PDF and Word tasks locally instead of sending files to a conversion server.
Our product principles
- Useful first: every page should help a real person complete a real task.
- Transparent signals: a score must say what was measured and what remains unknown.
- Private by default: if a feature can work in the browser, career data does not need to reach our server.
- No fake authority: general guidance is clearly separated from professional legal, tax, immigration, financial, or counselling advice.

How CareerGuru is funded
The tools are free. We use Google AdSense to support operations; ads may appear after Google approves the site and when inventory is available. We will not ask users to click ads, disguise ads as tools, sell resume text, or change a tool’s result to benefit an advertiser.
No website can honestly promise revenue before it earns sustained traffic and approval from an advertising network. Our approach is to publish original tools and guidance worth returning to, then introduce advertising carefully so it does not block the task.

CareerGuru content is written for a broad international audience and reviewed for clarity, internal consistency, and honest boundaries. It does not pretend employment practices are identical across countries or employers. Where a decision depends on current law, tax, immigration status, regulated advice, or local professional standards, readers should use an official source or qualified local professional.
We do not publish scraped job listings, copied articles, fake reviews, fabricated testimonials, or mass-produced pages made only to capture search traffic. When a tool uses a simplifying assumption, the assumption appears beside the result.
